The Present Blaverist Lack of Linguistic Control

In this document the reader will find a detailed study about texts of twelve secessionist organizations regarding the language that they use in the Internet. The organizations that have been analyzed are the following ones: “Coalicio Valenciana”, “Opció nacionalista Valenciana”, “Unió Valenciana”, “Mossarabia”, “Grup Cultural Valencianiste Prometeo”, “Valencian.org”, “Lo Rat Penat”, “Llengua Valenciana si”, “Valencià d’Elig”, “Idioma Valencià”, “Real Acadèmia Cultura Valenciana” and “Lo Regne”. And the consulted websites are the following ones:

Sufficiently representative and extensive texts have been extracted, so that they could be compared with each other. Using word processing and database techniques, a table was designed with two columns: the word found and the page where it was found. Firstly, using a word processor, a table with a single column has been constructed from each text, where all the words are automatically separated one by one from the text. Then, some processes of debugging of erroneous columns (blank, suppression of punctuation marks, etc.) are applied. With the result obtained, using copy and paste, on a previously designed database table, the column of words is added. Now the work is done on this table in a database manager. The page from which it was extracted is added to each word and finally all kinds of queries can be performed to find out the quality of the texts. These queries make it possible to find a whole series of notable differences between the writings published by these entities. More than 8000 records make up the working table and from them we can draw enlightening conclusions. But let's go step by step, and first let's look at a sample of the queries that have been made.

Without being a linguist, language teacher or philologist, simple conclusions can be drawn after studying the presented samples. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a lack of spelling control as far as accentuation is concerned. A disparity of criteria or the absence of application of any grammatical rules has been found among the texts published by these Blaverist entities. And this is somewhat in line with the current disparity of criteria in the RACV in this regard, with two sectors: one close to the PP and UV and headed by Voro Lopez, in favor of putting accents, and another one close to CV and headed by Ximo Lanuza, in favor of not putting accents. Texts that would not resist the application of any spellchecker, even if it were secessionist. Curiously this does not happen in the texts in Spanish that rigorously comply with the "Real Academia de la Lengua Española". Curious. Finally, the addition of new queries only worsens the predicted situation.
